Thank you for helping us to surpass our goal. Remember the Parish receives 60% of whatever exceeds the goal.
Mother Teresa said, “I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the water to create many ripples.” By following the example of Mother Teresa, some of the most influential leaders are those who make a difference through their dedication and unseen generosity.
The Cardinal’s Appeal supports the many charitable services that touch lives in and beyond our archdiocese – from feeding the hungry and sheltering the homeless to strengthening families and protecting children and youth. Last year over 400,000 people were served. We must continue to answer God’s call of service to our brothers and sisters who are less fortunate. As disciples of Christ let us continue to provide for those among us most in need.
The Cardinal’s Appeal benefits us right here at Sts. Peter & Paul and St. Ursula Parish by supporting our religious education programs and providing retirement care for our priests and religious. The Cardinal’s Appeal is also a large supporter of Catholic Charities which provides much needed care to millions of people in our Archdiocese.
Let me take this moment to acknowledge your steadfast commitment to the Church and the Christian call to action. You are a leader in our archdiocesan community. Our parish’s charitable history gives me faith that we can inspire each other to give and exceed our goal of $59,500. Please remember that 60% of what we raise over goal stays in the parish. Those additional funds could be used toward much needed improvements and upgrades to our Church such as pew restoration, installation of new flooring in the Church and renovations to our gym/auditorium.
To make your commitment, please fill out a pledge card and mail to the Appeal Office, or drop it in our collection basket at Mass. To make your gift online, visit www.cardinalsappeal.org and click the “Donate Now” button in the upper right corner. If you already made your gift, I thank you for your continued generosity. Let us all be true stewards of the faith together.
Sincerely in Christ,
Rev. John F. Lauri, Pastor
